By commissioning me, you declare that you have already read and accepted my Terms of Service.
I) Terms and conditions of use
I reserve all rights to use the artwork produced for self promotional purposes, including but not limited to using it to advertise and placing it in my portfolio.
You may post the image on other websites, as long as you give proper credit and link them back to my DeviantArt or Patreon.
If you need to change anything about your commission, let me know before I start. I will not do major tweaks or edits once I have cleaned the line art.
I do not do detailed sketches. I sketch poses for approval, and then continue with the line art. You can still ask for revisions for some commission types while I'm doing the line art, so long as it is still the initial line art.
II) Payment Rules
I only accept PayPal transactions.
To pay, you will need to provide your PayPal email so that I can send you an invoice.
The payment will be in USD, and will automatically be set as such on the invoice.
If payment is not received within 48 hours of the initial request, the request will be cancelled. The slot will go to the next person requesting one.
Full payment upfront. I will not start until the payment has gone through.
III) Permission and Copyright
I retain full rights over any and all artwork I make.
All artwork is for personal use, unless they meet other criteria or are subject to certain exceptions.
Streamer use of art for YouTube, Twitch, etc. is permitted.
Using them for merchandise is not permitted unless discussed with me first.
The commissioner is never permitted to edit/modify, distribute, or use the art for advertisement without first discussing it with me.
The commissioner is never permitted to claim credit for the artwork.
If the artwork commissioned by you is to be posted somewhere for personal use, please credit me, or if asked, link back.
Do not copy, recolor, edit, steal, reproduce, re-upload without credit or permission, trace or heavily reference my art.
IV) Deadlines and Refunds
I do not provide refunds unless I am unable to finish your commission. If this happens, I will let you know by note and send you a refund as soon as I am able.
I do not normally accept rush requests but, if it is for something important, we can discuss it.
Please note that commissions are usually done in order. I like to, however, juggle commissions as efficiently as I can. So, most of the time, I will get something done on the next commission while waiting for more references or your approval for a sketch.
My commission time frame is generally 3 weeks.
I will usually give you an earlier estimate for the time frame. Please remember that that is my own personal goal and it is not the official time frame for your request. Please, do not ask me “When are you starting on my commission?”, as I try to put as much care into making art for you all as I can. If you would like to know, I keep this list updated.
The 3 week time frame applies to 5 pieces of art and below.
If I have accepted a request that has more than 5 individual items in it, I will give you a different time frame for your request and the 3 week deadline will not apply.
V) Commissioner Responsibilities
Provide accurate references, short descriptions and clear instructions for the artwork requested.
Provide all necessary instructions, references and description at the beginning of our transaction. Not after I made the first sketch or finished the line art. Definitely not after I have already colored.
Please understand that the reason why I can keep the prices low, is because I manage my time and try to do things as efficiently as possible.
For commission like emotes, sub badges and Chibify commissions, I do not accept non-correction related edits. It is your responsibility to provide all instructions/descriptions/references before I start on your at work. I will not badger you for more info so you have to provide all relevant and necessary information for me to be able to portray your character as you imagined it. If I make a mistake, I will happily fix it for you if you point it out nicely. If the mistakes are due to insufficient or wrong references/descriptions/instructions, I will not.
Changes or corrections to the reference material provided should be given as soon as possible. You can still make changes to the references after I showed you the finished sketch. But only IF the changes is correction related, not because you want to change the pose completely.
I will not accept corrections to the references after the line art has already been completed.
Only provide references/description related to the artwork you are commissioning. Please do not give me too much unnecessary information. That will just confuse me more and it really isn't helping. E.g.) Commission type: Emote - Wave, Wink, Cry Unnecessary reference provided: Reference for the character's battle clothes, weapons, and different wardrobe are provided. - Please just give me relevant information only.
Before commissioning me, you should already know the basics of what you want.
I can provide suggestions and improvements to ideas you already have but please do not expect me to brainstorm with you from scratch.
You can tell me you want a chibi of your character and have options for the clothes and the poses that you are considering but do not expect me to think of 5 different poses or outfits for you to choose from.
Basically, I just want you to give some thought on it before going to me so that our discussion is fruitful and efficient.
I'm happy to give my views and suggestions to improve your commission, but it really is too much if you ask me to come up with a perfect pose and clothes for a character I barely know.
Sketches are just that, sketches, a means to an end.
Remember that sketches are just an intermediary that I use to base the lineart off of. You can expect that I will have some tweaks in the final line art if I think they are necessary. If there are specific aspects of the sketch that you would like to remain present in the final line art, please do point it out. Just tell me what you like in it specifically so I can keep those in the final line art. If you do not, I will take liberties where I deem fit when converting the sketch to the final product.
VI) Purchasing the Rights for Commercial Use
If you intend to purchase the rights for an artwork for commercial use, the fee is a minimum of $5 or 50% of the artwork's total cost. Whichever is higher.
Once the artwork's right has been purchased and the transaction already went through, you may not return the rights or request a refund. All transactions for purchasing the rights to an artwork is final.
